Self-exclusion with OASIS
OASIS is the national player-exclusion system. According to the sources we checked:
- A self-exclusion can be requested from a registered provider or from the responsible authority. The system is run at the Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt; one secondary source names the joint authority GGL instead, so please check gluecksspiel-behoerde.de.
- The minimum duration of a self-exclusion is three months; a longer period can be chosen.
- The exclusion does not end by itself. Lifting needs a written application after the minimum period; for a self-exclusion it takes effect at the earliest one week after the application arrives.
- Participation in OASIS is mandatory for licensed providers in Germany.
